A 31st Rescue Squadron pararescuemen carries a patient onto a 33rd Rescue Squadron HH-60 Pave Hawk during a mass casualty training scenario for exercise Pacific Thunder 2012, near Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Oct. 18, 2012. As part of the training scenario, the pararescuemen where dropped off in a hostile area where they had to find and medically treat 16 patients from a downed aircraft, while A-10 Thunderbolt IIs from the 25th Fighter Squadron provided cover overhead. Pacific Thunder is an annual two week exercise where members of the 31st and 33rd RQSs join members of the 25th FS and more than 10 other units at Osan to stay proficient on combat search and rescue tactics, techniques and procedures.
