Cheryl Karnes from the Kadena Chapel received the Angel Award in the family member category during the 2012 Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony at the Rocker NCO Club April 17, 2012, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Karnes has volunteered more than 700 hours, and saved the Air Force more than $31,000 through volunteering. She volunteers to cook, train, recruit and encourage others.
