EOD keeps the community informed

U.S. Air Force Captain Kelly Mattie, Explosives Ordnance Disposal flight commander, briefs local community members about the EOD mission, why EOD operations are conducted at Kadena Air Base, and how the operations are conducted to ensure the safety of the community March 25, 2012, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Community members who attended were from the Yomitan Village assembly, Kadena Town base affairs committee, Okinawa Defense Bureau, and the Minter of Foreign Affairs Okinawa office. Kadena Town Mayor Hiroshi Toyama also attended the briefing. After the briefing, the group was given a tour of the EOD site.
