Children watch as students from Amelia Earhart Intermediate School on Kadena Air Base, Japan, perform Eisa dancing and Taiko drumming for locals, military members and their families in Okinawa City during the kick-off of the Kijimuna Festival on July 23, 2011. This annual, nine-day celebration is designed to showcase performing arts, workshops and other activities to youth. This year's event consists of performing arts companies from 14 countries and is the first time that American children have performed traditional Okinawan dance in this forum.
