Intensity fueled by FARP

Tech Sgt. Paiea Sugnuma, NCOIC mobile distribution, holds a 200-pound hose over his head during the physical portion of the 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Forward Ariel Refueling Point tryouts at Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 17. Though the job is defined as an essential wartime capability, FARP has made its presence in the world as a humanitarian aid as well, especially in support of Operation Tomodachi, where U.S. military assets greatly assisted in the relief efforts following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the island of Honshu, Japan, March 11.
