Tsugio Ishino, the Central Air Defense Force commander for the Japan Air Self Defense Force, aboard a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft at Kadena Air Base, May 24. The orientation flight allowed Lt. Gen. Ishino a first hand look at Japan's F-15J pilots' air refueling training. It also familiarized the General with U.S. Air Force tanker capabilities and procedures during normal training operations.
