‘Okinawan First’ Vendor Showcase helps Kadena units save money, time

2nd Lt. Dana Loveless, 18th Contracting Squadron contracting administrator, looks at a free sample from a vendor at the “Okinawan First” Vendor Showcase, at the Schilling Community Center, Feb. 15. The event brought in Okinawan vendors to showcase locally-made products to the Government Purchase Cardholders, unit resource advisors and Airmen in management positions who attended. With the help of 18 CONS and the OPCIP, units could find products to purchase locally, rather than having similar items shipped from the U.S., which could save them both money and time.
