Mr. Hiroyuki Tokunaga, Criminal Investigator from the 18th Security Forces Squadron, Kadena Air Base, accepts a letter of appreciation from Mr. Akira Namihira, Senior Police Superintendent, Director of Community Safety Department, at the Okinawa Prefectural Police Headquarters in Naha, Okinawa, Feb. 10. The crime prevention program was established by the Juvenile Section of the Okinawa Prefecture Police along with the collaboration and support of the 18th SFS. Working together, 18th SFS and OPP have provided crime prevention classes to more than 500 students with the goal of informing and educating school-aged children about crime prevention and crime standards both on and off base. As a result, the crime rate involving juvenile, SOFA-status personnel has gone down both on and off base. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Junko Kinjo)
