Shogun-Thrift Store

Brig. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, 18th Wing commander, takes a tour of the Okinawa Enlisted Spouses Club Thrift Store and Uncle Sam's Attic Feb. 26. OESC and USA is a non-profit organization which supports American and Japanese charitable projects and special interest groups on Okinawa. Some of their contributions in 2009 was supplying $8K worth of uniforms, boots and accessories to military members island wide; $66K to the Okinawa Enlisted Spouse Club; and 89K in toys, clothes and shoes for distribution to needy families all over the world. "The thrift store saves a lot of money for Airmen and their families to have things they couldn't afford," said General Wilsbach."The service provided for the Airmen is greatly appreciated." The thrift store is asking for volunteers to help continue the success of the group and its mission. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Rey Ramon)
