Runners participating in the Okinawa Marathon are cheered by 300 spectators and volunteers at Kadena Air Base, Japan, March 7, 2010. In addition to encouragement, Team Kadena volunteers provided water and refreshments to the runners as they made their way through the approximately 1.5-mile long Kadena portion of the marathon. The marathon course ran through nine different cities, towns and villages in central Okinawa.
