Shogun-18th MUNS ATSO

Airman First Class Robert Hawkins, 18th Munitions Squadron conventional maintenance crew member, goes through his Airman's Manual to identify an unidentified explosive ordnance during an Ability to Survive and Operate (ATSO) course Feb. 24. The 18th MUNS held an ATSO course Feb. 24-March 2 for Airmen to hone their skills as AMMO warriors and learn how to perform their trade in a hostile environment. Over 200 members were trained in Mission Oriented Protective Posture wear, asset protection, post attack reconnaissance sweeps, UXO identification/reporting, and finished with a hands-on refresher of self aid buddy care.
