Army Private 1st Class Christopher Litzner skillfully carves a swan from an apple to be used as a decoration for the food lines of Marshall Dining Facility at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Aug. 15, 2007. Making garnishes help the cooks maintain their showmanship and turns the feel of the dining facility into that of a nice restaurant. The Marshall Dining Facility serves three meals to more than 1,000 U.S. military military members daily. Private Litzner is from the 1-1 Air Defense Artillery Battalion and works side-by-side with 18th Services Squadron Airmen. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Kelly Timney)
