Kadena rescue squadron deploys to Afghanistan

Airmen from the 33rd Rescue Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Japan, push one of two HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters into a C-17 GlobeMaster July 30 in preparation for deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan. This is the second time since January the squadron has deployed to Afghanistan. A group of squadron Airmen returned in May from a 4-month deployment to Kandahar, where this second group will conduct combat search and rescue and medical rescue missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
