First Lt. Alan Schulenberg, an F-15C pilot with the 44th Fighter Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan, explains the functions of an F-15 fighter jet to Okinawa business leaders during a community relations tour at Kadena July 16. This tour was part of the base’s co-commanders program in which senior leaders on Kadena are paired with local community leaders. The program objective is to foster close relationships between the base and local communities, while promoting a better understanding of Kadena’s mission. Kadena’s leaders also gain insight into Okinawa public perspectives regarding U.S. and Air Force forces on Okinawa. (U.S. Air Force/Senior Airman Darnell T. Cannady)
