Airman Daniel Shimanski, 18th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, low crawls through an obstacle course with a mock rifle during the 2008 Joint Service Fitness Challenge held at Kadena Air Base July 18. The event pitted 26 teams from various military branches against one another in an attempt to claim fitness supremacy. At the end of the day, Kadena’s own 31st Rescue Squadron walked away with the first and second place trophies and the opportunity to defend their title next year.
