Shogun-AmericaFest

An Okinawan child climbs a rock wall July 5, 2008 during Kadena Air Base’s AmericaFest open house. The rock wall was part of Kiddie Land, an entire section of the festival dedicated to keeping children entertained. AmericaFest featured two dozen aircraft static displays, live entertainment, activities for children, and a nightly fireworks show. The two-day event, which was designed to strengthen relations with the base’s Okinawan neighbors, drew nearly 66,000 people. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Chad Warren)
