Children and adults view holiday artwork Dec. 14, 2013, at the Korinza Shopping Mall in Okinawa City, Japan. The art is for the 2013 Okinawa City Japan-US Kids Holiday Art Fest where 12 groups of children from Kadena, Bob Hope, and Stearley Heights Elementary Schools, Amelia Earhart Intermediate School, and Okinawa City schools painted holiday-themed murals. The event is a collaboration between Kadena Top 3's Okinawa Outreach, a group focused on strengthening relationships between local Okinawans and armed forces members and their families, 18th Wing Public Affairs community relations, and the non-profit organization Beautiful Community Project Network. The murals are on display on Park Avenue outside Gate 2 until Dec. 28. The murals are scheduled to be voted on during a ceremony on Park Avenue from noon until 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 22, then the winners will be announced from 4 to 5 p.m.
