U.S. Air Force Personnel Clean a Local Komatsu Park

U.S. Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force personnel clean leaves out of gutters at a park in Komastu, Japan, Nov. 15, 2014. U.S. servicemembers from the 212th Rescue Squadron, 33rd RQS, and 35th Fighter Wing teamed up with members from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the Kinki-Chubu Defense Bureau in an effort to clean up a local park. The 35th FW from Misawa Air Base, Japan, was at Komatsu Air Base for an Aviation Training Relocation Program. The 33rd and 212th Rescue Squadrons were at Komatsu for exercise Keen Sword. The bilateral training conducted during exercise Keen Sword and in the ATR was to practice and evaluate the coordination procedures and interoperability elements required to effectively and mutually respond to the defense of Japan, or to a regional crisis.
