Volunteers from the U.S. Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force clean leaves out of gutters at a local park in Komatsu, Japan, Nov. 15, 2014. The volunteers partnered with members from the Kinki-Chubu Defense Bureau to beautify the local community, pulling weeds, picking up trash, raking leaves and sweeping the sidewalk. The U.S. Air Force members were in the area as part of local military training and exercises -- the 35th Fighter Wing from Misawa Air Base, Japan, took part in the Aviation Training Relocation Program. The 212th Rescue Squadron from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, and the 33rd Rescue Squadron from Kadena Air Base, Japan, took part in Exercise Keen Sword. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt.
