St. Patrick's Day engineering competition

Members of the 18th Civil Engineer Group, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, 3rd Marine Division Combat Assault Battalion, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, and 172nd Marine Wing Support Squadron stand at attention as the U.S. National Anthem is played for the start of a St. Patrick’s day engineering competition on Camp Hansen, Japan, March 20, 2015. The units competed in demonstrations of athleticism and resourcefulness throughout the day in honor of St. Patrick, the patron saint of engineers. More than 500 Airmen, Marines and Sailors participated in this year’s annual competition. After totaling all of the points the winning unit was 172 Marine Wing Support Squadron.
