The Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Museum is located near Mabuni Hill, also known as Hill 89, in Itoman City, Okinawa. Mabuni Hill was where the Battle of Okinawa ended June 22, 1945. Also on the museum grounds is The Cornerstone of Peace, which lists more than 240,000 names etched in stone of those who died in the Battle of Okinawa, and Memorial Path, which has 32 memorials.
