NDI has mettle to find metal cracks

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Charles Sothikhoun, 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Nondestructive Inspection technician, examines an X-ray at the NDI shop on Kadena Air Base, Japan, May 19, 2015. NDI switched from processing X-ray film to using digital systems last fall, allowing them to see more details and find foreign object debris and cracks in parts by zooming in on the image and changing the brightness.
