Honorary commanders visit Kadena

U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Joshua Prochaska, 67th Fighter Squadron training officer, explains the different parts of an F-15 Eagle as Hideaki Sakihama, 18th Wing Public Affairs community relations specialist, translates during an honorary commander tour Sept. 29, 2015, on Kadena Air Base, Japan. The honorary commanders were shown the daily inspection routines that take place in order to ensure aircraft are in proper flying condition. Outside of the routine daily inspections, the aircraft are inspected every 200 and 400 hours flown to diagnose any possible maintenance issues. These inspections help the 18th Wing maintain strategic access and freedom of movement across all domains. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Lynette M. Rolen)
