Boy Scouts participate in Camp Dragon

Members of the Boy Scouts of America at Camp Dragon practice first aid skills for their merit badges April 15, 2016, at Torii Station, Japan. The event is a long term camp experience and qualifies scouts for the Order of the Arrow a national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. Scouting events have played a part in the military community for generations and have helped children develop leadership and problem solving skills as they move from location to location with their family members. Team Kadena observes April as the Month of the Military Child in order to recognize the year-round contributions, courage and patriotism of the military community’s youngest members.
