18th EMS, MWSS-172 practice crash recovery

An Airman assigned to the 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron pulls a rope to stabilize an F-15 Eagle while it is being lifted by an All-Terrain Crane, known as a MAC-50, at Kadena Air Base, Japan, April 4, 2022. This joint training was performed to test crash recovery capabilities for the Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 and 18th EMS. Several Airmen pulled four different ropes attached to the F-15 Eagle in order to avoid the aircraft turning and crashing into the MAC-50.
