Joint jungle extract: Airmen, Marines train SERE capabilities

An 18th Wing fighter pilot, left, puts on safety gear while Tech. Sgt Kenji Scouton, right, 18th Operations Support Squadron NCO in charge of survival, evasion, resistance and escape operations, watches out for the 33rd Rescue Squadron HH-60G Pave Hawk in charge of hoisting the pilot to safety out of the Marine Corps Jungle Warfare Training Center, Camp Gonsalvez, Japan, March 18, 2022. The joint exercise was facilitated by the 18th OSS SERE team, allowing other parties to practice different capabilities with the right oversight, such as correct Combat Survivor Evader Locator usage and rescue hoist training.
