Korean War Veteran, former CINCPACAF shares his experiences to empower Airmen

Lt. Gen. (Ret.) James D. Hughes, former Commander in Chief of Pacific Air Forces (CINCPACAF), shares a plaque of pilot’s wings awarded to him during his Air Force career in Potomac Falls, Virginia. Hughes’ experience of the Korean War inspired him to co-form the Genesis Group to champion the cause for the establishment of the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor in New Windsor, New York, in 2006. These wings are from the Republic of Korea Air Force (top row), Taiwan Air Force (second row), the Republic of the Philippines Air Force (third row), and the Royal Thai Air Force (bottom row).
