Never forget: Kadena firefighters lead 9/11 remembrance

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Edward Abisada, 18th Civil Engineer Squadron crew chief, rings the bell at Kadena Air Base, Japan, Sept. 11, 2025. Once used to mark the end of a firefighter’s shift or call to duty, the bell now serves as a symbol of final honor. It was rung five times to signify the end of watch for those who gave their lives.
