Christopher Rizer, 18th OSS airfield operations flight director, walk away from an HH-60W Jolly Green II assigned to the 33rd Rescue Squadron after landing at Whiskey-174, Japan, Jan. 15, 2026. In emergency situations, the 18th OSS weather flight is trained to be able to provide quick and accurate weather forecasts, allowing pilots to safely get off the ground on short notice.
