Rey Ramon 18th Wing Public Affairs KADENA AIR BASE, Japan -- On the last evening of Obon, Okinawan families say prayers and give homage to their ancestors, who they believe returned from the spirit world for a brief, three-day visit. The prayers, which are accompanied by a feast, mark the end of Obon and the beginning of a celebration through Eisa dancing. Technical Sergeant Rey Ramon, a photojournalist with the 18th Wing Public Affairs office, celebrated this last evening of Obon with a local family.
