New 18th Wing commander arrives in July

Brig. Gen. (S) Kenneth Wilsbach, assistant director, Operations, Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, will succeed Brig. Gen. Brett Williams as the 18th Wing commander July 9, 2009.

Prior to his current assignment at Hickam, Brig. Gen. (S) Wilsbach served as an F-15C instructor pilot with the 94th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va. and the 84th Test Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla.; the chief of squadron weapons and tactics and instructor pilot of the 44th Fighter Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Japan; aide-de-camp to U.S. commander in chief, Pacific Command, Camp Smith, Hawaii; a student at the Naval Command and Staff College, Newport Naval Station, R.I.; assistant operations officer, operations officer and commander of the 19th Fighter Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, AK; a student at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Washington D.C.; Combined Air Operations Center director of operations/Central Command Air Forces forward director of operations, Al Udeid Air  Base, Qatar; commander of the 33d Operations Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.; and commander of the 53d Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.; Colonel Wilsbach is a command pilot with over 3,600 flying hours primarily in the F-15C.
