Action Level Exceeded for Lead in Kadena AB Drinking Water

  • Published
  • 18th Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight
The Kadena AB Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight recently collected samples from representative locations on Kadena AB and four of the 30 samples exceeded the action level for lead in your drinking water. An action level is a cautionary point, that when exceeded, requires the installation to increase the frequency of testing.

As our customers, you have a right to be informed that action levels were exceeded, the health concerns associated with lead in our drinking water, what we are doing to correct this situation, and what you should do in the meantime. The drinking water distribution system is still certified as "potable" and minor changes in consumption will minimize any potential risk.
