Participants of the Model Program conducted training on emergency maintenance, firefighting tools, hazardous material decontamination, and explosive ordinance disposal with the Kadena Fire station, and 18th Civil Engineering Squadron Explosive Ordinance Disposal on Kadena Air Base, Japan, March 6, 2014. The Model Program allows company grade officers an opportunity to tour various units around the installation. The officers have an interactive experience where they learn the installation's capabilities and limitations, allowing them to better function in leadership roles in their respective units.
