U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Kevin Schneider, U.S. Forces Japan and 5th Air Force commander, passes the 18th Wing guidon to Brig. Gen. Joel Carey, incoming 18th Wing commander, during a change of command ceremony July 8, 2019, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Carey most recently served as the Commanding General, Train, Advise, Assist Command-Air (TAAC-Air) and Commander, 438th Air Expeditionary Wing, Kabul, Afghanistan.
