Kadena celebrates courageous and committed women of character

Women’s History Month is observed in March in the United States and recognizes the contributions women have made to society as well as various fields of study. What began in 1980 as National Women’s History Week under a proclamation by President Jimmy Carter became annually recognized as Women’s History Month in 1987.
