American Forces Network Pacific launches audience survey


American Forces Network Pacific has launched an online survey to measure audience size and use of its TV, radio and social media services.


AFN-Pacific Commander, Air Force Lt. Col. Eric Badger says the survey will help focus the network’s efforts to better serve its audience of more than 160,000 military members, Department of Defense and other U.S. government civilians, and family members in the Pacific region.


“The news, sports and entertainment programming we deliver provides our audience members a touch of home while also helping connect commanders with their community members,” Badger said. “This survey empowers our audience to help us determine if our current efforts are effective.”


The 2019 AFN Pacific Audience Survey, which takes less than five minutes to complete, is open through Feb. 15 and can be found on the AFN Pacific website: www.afnpacific.net, athttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9FB9MWG.

The American Forces Network is a field activity aligned under the Defense Media Activity. AFN is the primary means to disseminate DoD internal communication information to U.S. armed forces serving overseas (including those at sea), as well as to DoD civilian and military family audiences. The primary goal of AFN is to deliver uninterrupted 24/7 media services to keep the authorized AFN audience informed and in touch, while improving morale and military readiness. AFN offers local installation commanders immediate communication capabilities to personnel in their area of responsibility.
