KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  Shizuko Yara, age 94, laughs with a translator from the 18th Wing Force Support Squadron during a Keiro No Hi luncheon Sept. 13, 2017, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Keiro No Hi "Respect for the Aged Day" was made a Japanese national holiday in 1966 and is similar to Grandparents Day in other cultures, during which participants celebrate the elderly's contributions and longevity .
