18th Wing celebrates Earth Week

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  Each year, Air Force members celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by taking actions to support the Air Force's Earth Day theme of "Conserve Today - Secure Tomorrow."

Here, the 718th Civil Engineer Squadron has planned events from April 20-26, making the celebration here last all week.

The events planned are:

HOPE/Live Green Beach Cleanup at the Sunabe Seawall, April 20

Kadena Air Base Department of Defense Dependents Schools Art Contest Judging, April 23

Hike and explore Mt. Katsuu from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., April 24

"Movie on the Lawn" at the Schilling Community Center, April 26
