Memorial service planned for fallen NCO

KADENA AIR BASE, Japan --  There will be a memorial service Jan. 25 at 9 a.m. at Chapel One in honor of Staff Sgt. Glenn Bearson, 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron.

Bearson was killed in a motorcycle accident Jan. 19 on Highway 58 near the base.

"We lost a valued, respected and beloved member of our military family this weekend," said Lt. Col. John Tran, 18th Equipment Maintenance Squadron commander. "This is a tragic loss not just for our squadron, but for Team Kadena as well. Our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and friends."
