U.S. Air Force Captain Kelly Mattie, Explosives Ordnance Disposal flight commander, gives local community members a tour of the EOD site after briefing them about the EOD mission, why EOD operations are conducted at Kadena Air Base, and how the operations are conducted to ensure the safety of the community March 25, 2012, at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Community members who attended were from the Yomitan Village assembly, Kadena Town base affairs committee, Okinawa Defense Bureau, and the Minter of Foreign Affairs Okinawa office. Kadena Town Mayor Hiroshi Toyama also attended the briefing.
