Sousei Yamakawa, owner of the house, burns uchikabi, which is the paper spirit money during the last day of Obon at Yomitan village, Japan, Aug. 10, 2014. In Okinawa, Obon runs throughout July 13-15 on the old lunar calendar, which means this year it falls throughout Aug. 8-10.
