Thomas Braxton, 909th Air Refueling Squadron pilot, explains the purpose behind lights underneath the KC-135 Stratotanker to Japan Air Self-Defense Force cadets on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Jan. 17, 2013. The KC-135 Stratotanker’s principal mission is air refueling and greatly enhances the Air Force’s capability to accomplish its primary missions of Global Reach and Global Power.
