International Carnival entertains thousands

Members from the Okinawa Samba Carnival dance group display their costumes at the International Carnival at Gate 2 in Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 24, 2012. Samba is a Brazilian dance and musical genre originating in Bahia with its roots in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and Africa via the West African slave trade. It's also an African religious tradition and is considered to be one of the most popular Brazilian cultural expressions. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Justin Veazie)
