Shogun-33rd ERSQ

Coalition soldiers move another injured coalition soldier to a Kadena-based 33rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter at a forward operating base in Afghanistan. The 33rd ERSQ continues combat flight operations in Afghanistan during their five-month deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom. So far the squadron has saved 102 people while flying more than 330 combat hours. The squadron is flying an in lieu medical evacuation missions with the U.S. Army and other coalition forces. The 33rd ERQS is comprised of personnel from throughout the 18th Wing, including the 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 67th Fighter Squadron and 18th Munitions Squadron.
