Shogun - Kandahar

Airman 1st Class Addison Reibling paints a beige foot onto an 33rd Rescue Squadron HH-60 Pave Hawk after the unit's first rescue of the deployment at the beginning of August. The squadron carried an Afghan national criticallywounded by an improvised explosive devise to a combat hospital for emergency surgery. The 33rd RQS from Kadena Air Base, Japan, deployed the end of July to Kandahar to conduct combat search and rescue and medical rescue missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The squadron headed back to Afghanistan after returning from a four-month deployment to Kandahar in May. Airman Reibeling is a crew chief with 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
