Kadena honors fallen comrades
Members of the Kadena Honor Guard hoist the colors during a Memorial Day ceremony on Kadena Air Base, Japan, May 26, 2014. It is a tradition on Memorial Day for the U.S. Flag to be raised to the top of the staff and then lowered to the half-staff position, in remembrance of more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of their country.
