Children with the Himiwari School Age Program participate in a touch test booth during the Autism Awareness Fair at the youth center on Kadena Air Base, Japan, April 10, 2014. One bowl was filled with regular spaghetti and the other was filled with spaghetti and apple sauce. To someone with autism, spaghetti may feel like the mixture of spaghetti and apple sauce, whereas someone who does not have autism would feel something different. Each booth at the fair represented a different sense, such as seeing, smelling, hearing, touching and tasting, and how these senses would affect someone with Autism.
