Runners 'go the extra mile' for AFAF

Runners take off for the Habu Trail during the Air Force Assistance Fund 6.5K Habu Run on Kadena Air Base, Japan, April 4, 2014. The route was one mile longer than a typical 5k run to line up with this year's theme, "Go The Extra Mile For An Airman In Need." Money raised during the run is going to the AFAF, which comprises four charities that help Air Force service members and their families with educational needs, aid in emergencies, and a retirement home for widows or widowers of Air Force members in need of financial assistance.
