Firing range scheduled to close July 1

The 18th Security Forces Combat Arms firing range is scheduled to close July 1 on Kadena Air Base, Japan. The range is closing for renovations, which will bring the building into compliance with standards. Renovations will take approximately a year and a half to two years to complete. During that time, Airmen will take a classroom portion at the facility before heading to the U.S. Marine Corps Camp Hansen firing range in order to shoot and qualify on weapons.
