909th ARS supports Cobra Gold

A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III from the 437th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston, S.C., approaches the boom of a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron station at Kadena Air Base, Japan, during an air refueling in support of exercise Cobra Gold 2014. The joint operation between Pacific Air Forces and the Air Mobility Command supported five C-17s being refueled by six KC-135s from McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, and Kadena.
